Terms and Conditions of Swimming Your Dog

Whilst every care is taken of the dogs undergoing hydrotherapy and in the maintenance of the water & equipment, all dogs receive hydrotherapy treatment entirely at their owner’s risk.

Dogs should be vaccinated and certificate is to be produced prior to the first swim session, Dogs will not be treated without up to date vaccination records.

Dogs should have regular Veterinary checks to ensure they are fit to swim, dogs will not be treated without the prior authorisation of their Veterinary Surgeon and sight of the completed consent form.

Dogs with infectious or contagious conditions, such as eye, ear or skin infections will not be swum. No dog shall be brought to the centre when it is known that it is unwell or unfit to receive treatment. Owners are advised to cancel all appointments with at least 24 hours notice, until the condition is clear. Normal cancellation conditions apply.

Owners are required to notify Water Waggers if during a course of hydrotherapy the dog’s condition worsens, or if the veterinary surgeon advises that the treatment is stopped or suspended.

Water Waggers reserves the right to refuse treatment to any dog. Bitches in season will not be able to attend sessions until their season has completely finished.

Dogs are to be relatively clean, dirty/muddy dogs will required to be showered by the owner prior to entry to the pool at an additional charge of £10.

When not undergoing hydrotherapy all dogs will be kept under control and must be on a lead at all times inside and outside the pool room.

It is the owner’s responsibility to poop a scoop after their dog, whilst on the premises and its surrounding environment. There is a designated area for dogs to relieve themselves prior to swimming, owners are encouraged to let their dogs relieve themselves fully before any swim. A surcharge of £100 will be made for dogs that defecate in the pool, as we will have to close the pool to clean it.

Session fees will be charged in full if an appointment is broken or cancelled without 24 hours notice.

All treatment courses, including those to be part of an insurance claim, must be paid for in advance, unless agreed with Water Waggers. Individual sessions must be paid for on the day of treatment. Discounts or Special Offers do not apply when sessions are subject to insurance claim.

Water Waggers cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or personal property, howsoever occasioned whilst on the premises.

Owners are requested not to feed their dog for at least 2 hours before attending an appointment, we also advise owners not to feed their dog for at least 1 hour after swimming.

Water Waggers reserves the right to use video footage and take photographs during sessions.

When visiting Water Waggers all persons are advised to wear sensible shoes with non-slip soles if possible. The floor in the pool room can become very wet during swimming sessions and it may become slippery.

Owners are responsible for any charges made by their Veterinary Surgeon for the completion of the registration and referral consent forms required by Water Waggers, this should be renewed annually.

Dogs can be showered upon finishing the session. We suggest owners bring plenty of towels to dry their dog, no drying facilities are available.
