We use Bromine as a sanitiser this is kept to approved levels, tested and logged several times a day. The pool water is maintained to a ‘Human’ standard.
How long does a session last?
The length of swim sessions depends on your dog's condition, needs and ability. This may vary from only a few minutes in the pool initially up to 30 minutes as your dog’s condition or fitness improves. This is totally dependent on the dog itself, all sessions are tailored to the individual dog. We do not impose a fixed time - this could be detrimental to the dog.
My dog is a good swimmer and can swim for longer than 30 minutes, so why is their session shorter?
It is much easier for a dog to ‘Free Swim’ than it is to swim in a hydro pool where they have to use a lot more energy as the water is warm and so they tire quickly.
My dog does not like water/has not swum before, what happens if they can’t swim?
Most dogs take to swimming easily although the first few sessions can be a bit splashy as they find their own ‘Style’.
